Craft Mesh Baselayer - for those in between times I've bought this to wear under my road cycling tops mainly just to take the chill off in the intermediate weather when the chances are good that you might be too warm or too cold if you take or don't take a jacket. Winter waterproof socks
I've had my pair for the past probably 4 or 5 years. They keep your feet relatively warm, but the cold does come through sometimes, but at least your feet are dry. These have been little lifesavers over the years to me. These arrived today and delighted that they fit over my problematic calves.

Overshoes
I do have a pair of overshoes... They are NOT warm, but they keep my shoes at least clean. I got so cold on Saturday that I almost wanted to cry so I decided that it would be the very last time that I'll be that cold. Pearl Izumi Tights
I love Pearl Izumi tights. Their sizing works for me (the more round figure), their padding is good and they last a long time. I still have my very first pair and I can't get myself to throw it out as it is still comfortable although a bit big. Liezl borrowed one of my old pairs last year when we were in Italy & she wanted to buy it from me... The only thing with these are that it unfortunately depends if your size is available. I was lucky enough to find the sizes that work for me.

Tango Cycling 1st Anniversary

On 22 May 2014, 7 of us did a honorary lap of Richmond Park to celebrate the first 'official' Tango Cycling year followed by celebratory prosecco, strawberries & cream at Tango Cycling HQ where others joined us. 

 

Our lap didn't go without a small hick-up. Simon almost lost his pedal, no-no I meant he lost his crank! 

 

Next year we will do two laps to celebrate the 2nd birthday!

Tango Cycling Kit Spotting

On 21 August my Tango Cycling Kit arrived, this was one of the best pre-birthday gifts I could have received. I kept refreshing the UPS page to see when delivery would be due and as I was looking at the page, Claire phoned from reception to let me know that my precious parcel arrived. It was with great excitement that I opened the box. I was so relieved to see that I didn't leave a 'c' out of cycling and that all was ok!

I took my precious goods home in my wheelie suitcase.I was prepared to show the contents of my suitcase to anybody that looked vaguely interested. My chest wanted to explode with pride and excitement. :-)

Saartjie & I baked my Ouma Lina's milktart as a trail as I wanted to bake one for work later in the week. So it was ready to serve as a treat for those who picked up their kit on Wednesday evening along with a complimentary chocolate yazoo.

Liezl arrived a little bit later and the two of us acted as if we were Tango Cycling's Next Top Models, I think we are especially with this perfectly in sync Usain Bolt pose!
